Union Minister Giriraj Singh Lashes Out Over Bihar Textile Park Question

Minister Dismisses Concerns Over Bihar’s Exclusion from PM MITRA Scheme
Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh reacted sharply when questioned about Bihar’s exclusion from the PM MITRA textile park scheme. The scheme, aimed at boosting India’s textile sector, has selected states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, but Bihar failed to make the list.
When asked about this omission, Singh became visibly agitated, questioning why reporters were focusing on "negative issues." He clarified that the states chosen had met the required criteria, and Bihar's case would be considered in the future.

Despite his assurances, the exclusion of Bihar has raised political concerns, with critics accusing the central government of neglecting the state’s industrial potential.

Giriraj Singh’s response has fueled further debate over Bihar’s industrial development. While he assured efforts to bring textile investments to Bihar, opposition leaders remain skeptical about the government’s commitment to the state’s economic progress.
